An industry association lives or dies by whether the right people—legislators, member agencies, donors, and conference attendees—engage with what it sends them.
That's the job across every format.
The proof:
As a freelance designer for TTA from 2016 to 2017, I supported the organization's full range of marketing communications: marketing materials for their 30th anniversary conference; the annual conference brochure and event collateral; legislative agenda materials reaching TTA's full statewide membership; and an ongoing "Transit Stories" series spotlighting individual transit districts—from major metro systems to rural agencies serving a handful of counties. TTA supports the needs of Texas public transportation systems through statewide advocacy and education, representing metropolitan, small urban, and rural transit agencies across the state.
The work ranged from design and layout to copywriting and editing, depending on the piece—whether that meant designing an event invitation, building out conference collateral, or translating a district's funding needs and ridership data into something a reader could act on quickly.
If you need someone who can move easily between marketing and event materials and content that has to inform and persuade, this is what that looks like.
Key results:
Seven pieces designed across marketing materials, events, and editorial content · Statewide marketing and legislative materials for TTA's full membership · Four Transit Stories district profiles · Design and copywriting under one roof · Freelance engagement, 2016–2017
