Some work you take because it pays well. Some work you take because it matters.

This is the second kind.

The proof:

For six years, I was the volunteer brand manager and graphic designer for the Austin affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, contributing more than 2,500 hours of creative work to a cause I believe in deeply. Since my grandmother was a breast cancer survivor for more than 36 years, that made every deadline personal.

Working entirely pro bono, I managed and executed the affiliate’s visual brand across all touchpoints from event materials and fundraising campaigns to print collateral, signage, and donor communications. Every piece had to meet Komen’s national brand standards while resonating with a local Austin audience.

Six years. One designer. Thousands of hours. Consistent, mission-driven creative that helped the Austin affiliate show up professionally, tell their story compellingly, and move people to act.

That's what long-term brand stewardship looks like. Not a one-off deliverable. Not a single campaign. Six years of showing up, doing the work, and making sure the mission came through in every piece.

If you need someone who cares about your brand as much as you do and has the discipline to maintain it over time, this is what that looks like.

Key results:
2,500+ volunteer hours · Six years of brand stewardship · Print, outdoor, sponsorship, and event creative · One cohesive brand voice across every touchpoint · Pro bono
